A real home for Claude builders in Sri Lanka.
What is Claude Sri Lanka?
Claude Sri Lanka is an independent community of Sri Lankan developers building with Claude and Claude Code, led by Uvin Vindula (IAMUVIN). It runs workshops, live build sessions, and short courses in Colombo, open to first-time and experienced developers alike.
Who leads Claude Sri Lanka?
Claude Sri Lanka is led by Uvin Vindula, a Sri Lankan software engineer who works under the name IAMUVIN.
I started this because I kept meeting developers here who were curious about Claude and Claude Code but had nowhere local to learn it, build with it, or find other people doing the same. The global community is thriving; Sri Lanka deserves a seat at that table. So I'm building one — in public, one session at a time.
Why does Sri Lanka need this?
Sri Lanka has a deep pool of software talent but few local spaces dedicated to building with AI development tools specifically.
Most learning here still happens through tutorials made for someone else's context. A local community changes that: you watch a problem you recognise get solved with tools you can use today, alongside people you can keep building with afterward. That's worth far more than another generic course.
What we stand for
Open to first-timers
You don't need to be an expert. Pathfind sessions exist precisely for your first build.
Honesty over polish
Live builds show the wrong turns. That's the part that actually teaches.
In the open
Guides, recordings, and sessions are shared openly. Knowledge compounds when it's shared.
Sri Lankan by default
Built here, for the problems and people here — not a copy of a Valley playbook.
